Following the full-length album “Kassandras Komplex” (2024), “Angelus Luminis” will be released on October 3, 2026—a completely new FDIO studio album featuring exclusively new songs.
Multifaceted, fresh, and consistently surprising—shifting between post-punk, darkwave, indie rock, and chanson noir—the quintet led by singer Ray van Zeschau unfolds its very own sound. Ironic, playful, and full of surprising cross-references ranging from Henry Purcell to the Ramones to the discursively overheated Merkel quote “Wir schaffen das.” An album with its own universe, great visual power, and precisely the unpredictable energy that Freunde Der Italienischen Oper have stood for for decades. The CD comes as digipack with booklet * Major label
